Our History
As a Protestant church, our roots are in the Reformation of the 16th century. The Reformation (external link) was a movement of restoration which aimed to bring the Church of God back to its historic roots. The outcome of the Reformation was a renewed understanding among God's people that salvation is a matter of grace alone and not of human works. In addition, the Reformation emphasized that the ultimate authority for the teaching and life of the church must be the Bible.
