Refugee Aid

In many parts of the world, people who profess the Name of Christ are being persecuted, often by the very governments that rule them. In some countries, where the state religion is Islam or where Communists hold power, the Christian faith is overtly outlawed. In such situations, Christians find themselves on the run from police or military personnel, forced to flee for their lives simply for confessing Christ.

As a Christian church living in relative peace and freedom in Canada, we feel obliged to help such fellow Christians where we can. Compelled by God’s command in Galatians 6:10, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers,” we have undertaken the sponsorship of Christian refugees. These refugees have been forced out of their homeland and live elsewhere as strangers, without permanent residency. By our sponsorship, we hope to bring them to the relative safety of Canada where they can freely live and profess the Name of Christ.
